Christy Crowl to visit SHHS Choir

A life-long music professional, Christy Crowl has toured the world as an award-winning Top 20 Adult Contemporary Artists in addition to having an extensive sidelining career, where she has experience touring the world and the studio with such music legends and popular acts as Barbar Streisand, Julie Andrews, Engelbert Humperdinck, Gnarls Barkley, and a member of the GRAMMY-winning band Mannheim Steamroller. In 2000, the United Nations' "Festival of Excellence," features her song "I See Light," as its theme, and she was invited to perform in concert for United Nations' dignitaries at Victoria Hall, Switzerland. An advocate for arts education, Crowl also spoke as a United Nations Roundtable session about the importance of arts in education at that time. Vrowl is also the first woman conductor of the hit Broadway musical Wicked and served with the production in Los Angeles and the first national tour from 2007-2011, and has over two decades worth of studio music credits as a music director, singer, songwriter, keyboard player, and composer/arranger (title that include Star Wars Rogue One, Star Trek Beyond, Jurassic World, and Planet of the Apes franchises). She has recieved a Garland Award, LA Scenie Award, LA Drama Circle Award, and LA Weekly award for Best Musical Direction and songwriting awards from ASCAP and Billboard.
